Aichtal, situated 18 km south of Stuttgart in southern Germany, is a town with approximately 10 thousand residents. The task is an upgrade for both its square and town hall. The urban development initiative aims to highlight the town's identity with a focus on "health" and "nutrition". As part of this vision, a market hall is proposed for the town centre, which involves the transformation of the existing old town hall. The envisioned open market hall is designed to serve as a communal space, providing a venue for people to gather. The ground floor features a market space with sliding doors that can be fully opened, along with a café. Additionally, the upper floor has the potential to accommodate an event hall capable of hosting up to 170 people. Lively public spaces through rural regeneration in Aichtal - Transformation of a disused town hall into a thriving new community amenity. Our plans for the town square will respectfully transform and create a new attraction.
